A Home-Town Guy

15 Years in Business.

Meet the craftsman behind Finer Things Wood Design, a true artist of woodwork and a devoted family man – Frank Timpano. Born and raised in Erie, PA, Frank’s journey into the world of custom woodworking began in the halls of McDowell High School in 9th grade when his woodshop teacher, Bill Korell highlighted his work outside the shop on the bulletin board. After high school, Frank went to the University of Pittsburgh for pharmacy school and with his very first paycheck bought the machines that kickstarted a passion for detailed craftsmanship and led him to establish his own business, specializing in custom cabinetry.

Over the years, Frank has carved out a reputation for his unrivaled talent in creating exquisite, functional pieces that can elevate any space they occupy. He believes that every piece of wood holds an untold story, and through his meticulous work, he brings that story to life. His deep love for his craft is mirrored in the perfection of his work, creating pieces that aren't just practical, but also truly beautiful.

Apart from being a master woodworker, Frank is a proud family man. With his wife by his side, he is a father to four wonderful children and a pet dad to three crazy dogs. He is a classic car enthusiast, you may see him cruising around in his battleship blue 1950 Ford F1 truck - be sure to give a honk and wave if you cross his path!

Frank’s passion for crafting beautiful wooden designs and his dedication to providing exceptional service is the heart of Finer Things Wood Design. Rooted in Erie, he considers every client as a part of his extended hometown family and looks forward to turning your ideas into finely crafted reality.
